Algebra 1 blog #2

Hey Guys,
So for this post I would like you to:

1.)     Write down the definition of a linear equation

2.)     Find one APPLICATION of a linear equation. and explain it in detail (what does the slope of the equation mean? what does the y intercept mean for the equation? what do the variables represent?)

Thanks guys

  1. A linear equation is an algebraic equation in which each term is either a constant or the product of a constant and (the first power of) a single variable.

Each apple costs .45 How much money would you make if you sold x number of apples?
    y intercept= the cost
x intercept= the number of apples sold
